We decided to visit the beautiful city of Bath for the weekend to get away from London and all it’s fuss during the Christmas period. As I’m reaching the end of my pregnancy it means that I only have 2-3 weeks left to travel on a plane and while we wanted to do that and escape to Rome, I just knew I would not be as energetic to sightsee and be active since I already feel quite heavy.
My husband and I usually like to plan weeks in advance when it comes to trips, where we’ll stay, what we’ll do, where we’ll eat and if there is anything in particular that we want to see. However, this time round I decided it would be even better if we just drove to Bath, showed up at a B&B and had a peaceful weekend away before 2 become 3.
Anyway, on this weekend Bath was fully booked that we went out for dinner at 17:00 and only found somewhere to eat at 19:30. Everything was truly fully booked.
We ended up staying in 17 Lansdowne Crescent (which I highly recommend) for the night. The room was spacious, the house was beautifully decorated, it had lovely views and it was a lot nicer than staying in a packed hotel.
By Sunday afternoon we were ready to come back home after visiting some cute local shops, the Roman Baths, walking around the narrow streets, visiting the very packed Christmas Market and having our first ever Sunday Roast at a local pub ‘The Huntsman‘ which had good food as well as good service!
Despite Bath being fully booked due to their popular Christmas market and a rugby match, we had a lovely time just taking it easy.
